They stole money from me!

They will take your order but later may say the order can’t be delivered on time. If you try to cancel, when they tell you they can’t deliver on time, they will refuse to give your deposit back.

Fox doors cannot be trusted; they are dishonest thieves.

This is exactly what happened to me. I placed an order with fox doors for a specific door style and delivery timeframe. Two days later they say the door I ordered is not available and won’t be for at least a month beyond the original timeframe. I then took two days to look at other options and found one. I then sent a cancellation notice to fox doors, just two days after they said they can’t deliver my order, and requested my deposit back. The refused to return my almost $1000 deposit, even though they said they couldn’t deliver the order on time.

This is when all the lying started. Now out of the blue they said they will move me ahead of 60 clients, “because those clients are not in a rush”, to get my door faster. Sure, right. Just two days earlier they did not mention any possibility of faster delivery. Then fox doors started lying about ordering the opener from US and having to pay tariffs. Of course this is a lie, this is a regular opener they offer to all their clients so they have them on hand for each installation. I can actually find it for less money locally than what they were charging me in the order. As far as tariffs even if they ordered from US; there are no tariffs since Canada dropped their tariffs on US long time ago. Just lies from fox doors.

I’ve been threatened by fox doors with lawyers and police if I leave bad review of fox doors. They actually said 2 detectives are on the case. I welcome any law enforcement to come and contact me. That would be interesting, a police complaint coming from people who stole almost $1000 from me.

It looks like fox doors does all their sales from people search for garage doors on Kijiji and Facebook Marketplace. They seem to have a number of resellers there forwarding business to fox doors. If you talk to someone about garage doors and they say to contact “Dan” and that “he’ll take care of you” that is fox doors. They don’t take orders directly; they forward you to Dan. Also, the listings may have photos of fox doors business card in front of some garage door.

There are other companies/installers to get your garage doors other than fox doors. As you can see by this fox doors review, they should be avoided at all costs.
